The new firmware is available by updating to the newest version of My Sirius Studio, and then click on File, then Divice setting, then "Check for Updates"

This new firmware make the S50 even better and is based on feedback.

Here is what the update will let you do!

- Schedule recordings on EVERY CHANNEL EVEN MUSIC ONES
- More memory allocated to My Sirius Channels
- S50 stability.

The new firmware is V1.0.10
New My Sirius Studio verison is 1.0.1.4886

You can get the My Sirius Studio Update at the link below.. you must get this first! Then do the firmware update

Once you get the update from your PC, you will get this pop up window! MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS..

I Love it, SIRIUS did a good burrito at getting this fixed, this makes all the RIAA stories bull potato peeler..

I just recored an hour of a music station. I set it to record with out any problem, once it is added to "My SIRIUS Shows" it will show up like 80s Hits, unlike in the past the recording will let you skip to the next event. So you can pass right over the songs, song to song.... Also this now works on talk, I have been recording Jay Thomas show, and it was one long file, now it is borken up, each time the display changes you can skip to that. You can not use the LOVE button on songs, that your recorded from the Scheduled recordings, but still can on my SIRIUS channels

The first review didn't look favorable, I think the reviewer worked for XM so I posted a review over there with a reference to this forum for more info. I hope that's OK

got it to work after trying again... I think it is important to note that you have to hit the button next to the S50 device to check for updates... This made it a lot simpler

I downloaded the update in hopes it would help some how with my reception I am getting with the home kit for the s50. I just received it yesterday and I am having a terrible time getting a signal. I live in Ohio so I point it North west and have tried it everywhere in my house I can and also out my windows....even on part of the roof and I never get a great signal. Any suggestions??

It is not the S50 it is were you have the Antenna. Try to move it outside the window. The Home Antenna are indoor/outdoor. You really need to get a nice clean view of the sky. I got one of the SIR6 Home Antenna..

or this one is also now out...

No drop outs at all.. I pop the S50 in and let it rack up my SIRIUS channels...

Can you give me a few details on your home antennae?

Its hard to tell from the picture but are you still using the antennae that came with your receiver? Is it sitting on the stand portion of this antennae? Will it work with the S50?

I can't tell if yours includes an antennae and then plugs directly into your home base or is your home antennae sitting on top or...?
